Real diplomacy never sleeps

At some point the scale of the astounding breakdown in international relations during the summer of 2016 may be recognized: that after a coup attempt against a popularly elected President (Erdogan), he has been essentially shunned by European leaders until his first meeting with ... Russian President Vladimir Putin, with whom relations had crashed prior to the coup, over Syria. Maybe when foreign policy elites are back from their holliers in September they'll take stock of the situation.
