With attention in increasing on the botched US raid in Al-Bayda, Yemen, that resulted in the death of 2 US citizens (Ryan Owens and Anwar al-Awlaki's daughter), there is sure to be parallels drawn with the multiple Benghazi consulate investigations. One thing forgotten now is that Benghazi theorizing featured intense speculation that a Jihadi Supergroup had been involved -- that it wasn't just a local militia but that Al Qaeda had assembled elite teams from across their network to take part. In particular, "sources" were widely quoted that a team from Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the group's Saudi-Yemeni combine, had been involved. Given the AQAP link, all existing Benghazi investigations should now be extended to the Al-Bayda raid, which was an attack on AQAP
