The latest Iraq fiasco: George Bush invades the country with too few troops. So he needs a bunch of mercenaries such as Blackwater to help out. They get to ship weapons under Iraq -- which "rogue" operatives then sell to the Kurdish terrorist group the PKK, which are used to commit crimes in Turkey.
And this revelation at a time when Republicans seem to feel that they've stablised the political ship through a combination of celebrity distractions and the perpetual motion "outrage" machine (Iranian president visit, Moveon.org etc). One question is whether the punditocracy will buy this narrative rather than see the never-ending Blackwater tentacles as a big deal.
