Don't they know that the way forward for self-styled republicans has long since been mastered by Fianna Fail, and involves shady property deals registered in the name of companies based in places that no-one has heard of? It worked for Ray Burke and Liam Lawlor, so why shouldn't their candidate in the forthcoming by-election in Meath ("The Asphalt County'') get some of the action? As someone might have said (we're thinking of the chief bad guy in Die Hard 2), robbery is simply a question of dates.
