Boys with toys
After bellyaching about bonuses, perks, and junkets for the private sector in their respective countries, the top finance officials in the leading industrialised countries (g7/g8) awarded themselves a weekend in Rome to discuss the financial crisis.
You might think that a crisis would call for a revisiting of unquestioned assumptions about the structure of these events. It's unlikely that the feature of one woman, French finance minister Christine Lagarde, among the 24 officials, received such questioning.
